The Seahawks elevated wide receiver Ricardo Lockette from their practice squad on Wednesday to fill the spot on the 53-man roster the opened when wide-out Sidney Rice was placed on injured reserve.
Rice tore a knee ligament in Monday night’s victory over the Rams in St. Louis and will have season-ending surgery.
Lockette was re-signed to the practice squad last week. He had been with the Seahawks in 2011, and was on the active roster for the final three games. He caught two passes for 105 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown in the season finale against the Cardinals in Arizona.
To fill Lockette’s spot on the practice squad, wide receiver Josh Lenz was re-signed. He has been released last week.
