A look at a memorable moment in Seahawks history that occurred on July 29

1995: Steve Largent is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Largent, the NFL’s all-time leader in receptions (819), receiving yards (13,089) and touchdown catches (100) when he retired after the 1989 season, was elected to the Hall in January 1995 – in his first year of eligibility. He was the only career-long Seahawk in the Hall of Fame until Cortez Kennedy joined him in 2012. Largent also was the first member of the Seahawks’ Ring of Honor in 1989, had his No. 80 retired in 1995 and has an award named after him that has been presented annually since 1989 to the person who “best exemplifies the spirit, dedication and integrity of the Seahawks.”
