A look at a very memorable moment in Seahawks history that occurred on Sept. 18

1988 – Steve Largent becomes the NFL’s all-time leader in receiving yards (12,167) during a 17-6 loss to the Chargers in San Diego. The record he broke (12,146) belonged to the Chargers’ Charlie Joiner. By the time he retired after the 1989 season, Largent held the all-time – and since broken – records for career receptions (819), receiving yards (13,089) and touchdown catches (100).
