A look at a memorable moment in Seahawks history that occurred on May 9

2006: The Seahawks announce plans to move their headquarters from Kirkland to Renton. The team had called Kirkland home – at two locations – since its inaugural season in 1976. The team would remain in Kirkland until Virginia Mason Athletic Center, its new facility on the shores of Lake Washington, was ready to move into in August of 2008.
