2003: The flag pole above the south end zone at CenturyLink Field (then Seahawks Stadium) is unveiled, and the 12th Man flag is raised for the first time by 12 original season ticket holders before the Seahawks’ game against the 49ers. The Seahawks win the game 20-19 as Josh Brown kicks a 37-yard field goal with three minutes remaining.
2008: Aaron Rodgers passes for two touchdowns in outdueling Charlie Frye, who throws for two TDs but also throws two interceptions, as the Green Bay Packers hand the Seahawks a 27-17 loss in Seattle. The game is tied 10-10 at halftime before Rodgers throws scoring passes to Greg Jennings (45 yards) and John Kuhn (1 yard) and Matt Crosby kicks a 51-yard field goal. The game also marks the final time Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren will face his former team.
1986: The Raiders jump to a 14-0 lead on two Jim Plunkett touchdown passes and hang on for a 14-10 victory over the Seahawks at Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles. The loss drops the Seahawks to 4-2 in a season when they would defeat both teams that advance to the Super Bowl – the Broncos and Giants – but fail to make the playoffs despite having a 10-6 record.
