No surprises among Seahawks inactives; Joe Staley will play for 49ers

If the 49ers are going to prevent the Seahawks from clinching the NFC West on their home field Sunday, they’ll have to do it without Pro Bowl left guard Mike Iupati. But Pro Bowl left tackle Joe Staley will play.

SAN FRANCISCO – Joe Staley, the 49ers’ Pro Bowl left tackle who sprained a knee last week, will play in Sunday’s big game against the Seahawks at Candlestick Park.

That was the big news among the inactive players that were just announced, as they were no surprises among the players who will not play for the Seahawks. Cornerback Brandon Browner and wide receiver Percy Harvin are out because of injuries, but that was announced Friday.

The 49ers will be without Pro Bowl left guard Mike Iupati for the third consecutive game. Adam Snyder will start for Iupati.
