Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Monday, July 28 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
In Case You Missed It
If you were away from your computer, cell phone, or tablet this weekend, this is a good place to start to get caught up on what went down during the first three days of Seahawks training camp. Players are off today, but will return to action tomorrow for the fourth practice of camp.
Below, check out some of the more popular and informative Seahawks.com videos from the weekend that was at team headquarters:
Michael Bowie Shoulder Injury Means More Reps For Rookie Justin Britt
Second-year offensive tackle Michael Bowie injured his shoulder during Friday's practice and that has opened the door for more reps with the No. 1 offense for rookie tackle Justin Britt. So for now, the expected two-man competition at right tackle is down to one. Head coach Pete Carroll said Britt is taking command of the opportunity.
"Justin has done a very, very good job,” said Carroll. “What we’re thrilled to see in Justin is he’s got a great approach. He’s tough. He’s smart. He’s diligent. He’s flexible enough that he looks like he can learn and do the things that we want to do.
“He’s been very sharp in the run game and he’s working on his pass-protection stuff.”
Russell Wilson Featured In New Commercial
Russell Wilson's face has been almost everywhere since winning Super Bowl XLVIII and you can add one more place to that already long list. The Seahawks quarterback is featured in Duracell Batteries "Quantum Powers" commercial, which I've embedded for you above.
Tweet of the Day
Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from freelance sports photographer Alika Jenner, who caught this comical expression from Doug Baldwin while the wide receiver signed autographs for fans at the end of training camp practice.
