A morning link round-up of what's "out there" about your Seattle Seahawks

ESPN's Merril Hoge and Herm Edwards preview the NFC West, offering up some bold predictions for the season ahead.

Good morning, and here's what's "out there" for today, Monday, August 5, about your Seattle Seahawks:

The team released their depth chart ahead of Thursday night's preseason opener in San Diego against the Chargers, and Eric Williams of the Tacoma News Tribune offers his take on a few things within the chart that caught his eye.

Williams also highlights rookie tight end Luke Willson's transition to life in the NFL.

Jayson Jenks of the Seattle Times passes along news from head coach Pete Carroll that running back Robert Turbin has been cleared to practice and was expected to join the team for Sunday night's walk-thru. Turbin started training camp on the team's physically unable to perform (PUP) list with a foot injury.

Jenks also has a closer look at newly-signed wide receiver Early Doucet, who spent the previous five seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times profiles Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.

Danny O'Neil of 710Sports.com dissects the phrase "Leave No Doubt 24/7," which is printed on the back of several t-shirts worn by the Seahawks coaching staff and players.

O'Neil also has his observations following Sunday's practice session, which includes a closer look at linebacker O'Brien Schofield.

Dave Boling of the Tacoma News Tribune talks with Seahawks director of player development Mo Kelly, who sheds some more light on the team's "Leave No Doubt 24/7" mantra.

Jim Moore of 710Sports.com catches up with defensive end Red Bryant, whose sore foot caused by plantar fasciitis no longer seems to be a bother, and who says he's feeling healthier this year thanks to an improved diet and proper sleep.

John Boyle of the Everett Herald breaks down the team's competition at returner, noting wide receiver Golden Tate should receive the bulk of the punt returns and Tate, cornerbacks Will Blackmon and Jeremy Lane, running back Christine Michael and wideout Bryan Walters makeup the list of candidates at kick returner.

Boyle also shares some Sunday training camp notes, highlighting the competition at the nickel cornerback spot between Walter Thurmond and Antoine Winfield. "This is going to be a real battle," - Carroll said of the situation.

Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR AM has his notes from Sunday's practice, detailing the club's injury situation heading into Thursday's preseason opener.

Aaron Levine of Q13 FOX shares a conversation with Sidney Rice, summing up the wide receiver's trip to Switzerland where he had a procedure performed on his knee, and where he met an international member of the 12th Man along the way.

Frank Schwab of Yahoo! Sports continues their NFL season preview series with a look at the Seahawks, who land at No. 2 in the site's preseason ranks.

David Rasbach of The Bellingham Herald talks with rookie Andrei Lintz, the former Meridian High School and Washington State University tight end who the Seahawks signed late last week.

Here at Seahawks.com, our training camp live stream will run with Digital Media Host Tony Ventrella at around 10:30 a.m. Be sure to check out our Training Camp Central and follow our #BingHawks hashtag to keep up on everything from camp.
