The fourth Tuesday in May loomed large for a couple of reasons when it comes to the Seahawks.
In addition to the players kicking off Phase 3 of their offseason program with a spirited OTA practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Center, the team also announced the signings of its final two draft choices – wide receiver
Norwood, who played at Alabama, had an impressive rookie minicamp last weekend. The 6-foot-2, 199-pound Norwood added a 20-yard reception during Tuesday’s OTA session along the shores of Lake Washington.
“Norwood, he’s got a knack for making the big catch,” veteran receiver
Norwood averaged 15.7 yards on 81 receptions for the Crimson Tide.
Pierre-Louis, who is from Boston College, caught the eye of coach Pete Carroll during the rookie minicamp.
“He plays very fast,” Carroll said. “He’s really a big accelerator. He seems to be a really good learner, too, so he should fit into the competition really well.”
The 6-foot, 236-pound Pierre-Louis had 108 of his career 360 tackles last season for Boston College.
