James Carpenter inactive for Seahawks

Posted Jan 11, 2014

James Carpenter, who started 10 games at left guard during the regular season, is among the inactive players for the Seahawks in Saturday’s divisional playoff game against the Saints.

Rookie Michael Bowie worked at left guard all week in practice for the Seahawks and apparently will start Saturday’s divisional playoff game against the New Orleans Saints at CenturyLink Field.

The latest indication of the switch is that James Carpenter is among the Seahawks’ seven inactive players that were just announced. He had started 10 games at left guard during the regular season.

For the Saints, leading rusher and second-leading receiver Pierre Thomas is inactive because of the chest injury that also forced him to sit out last week’s wild-card playoff game against the Eagles.
