Ghoulish Gals

The Sea Gals got the Halloween spirit going a day early as "The Village People," "The Circus," "Toddlers & Tiaras" and "Beast Mode" showed up to practice.

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. Pumpkin lattes, falling autumn leaves, carving pumpkins and most importantly, dressing up in costumes. When Sea Gals director Sherri told us we would be dressing up for practice to celebrate and it was a competition, the other gals and I started planning. We worked within out squads to come up with not only a great group theme but also individual costumes, which was a very fun challenge!

As we arrived at VMAC for practice there was much anticipation to see everyones creative costumes and we were ready to show off our own hard work. So without further adu...
Squad 1 arrived as the traveling circus, complete with yours truly as a harlequin clown and squad leader Courtney as the grand Ring Leader.

Squad 2 doned the frilliest, fluffiest outfits, and were the prettiest pageant princess toddlers you've ever seen.

Squad 3 represented a classic group we all know and love, the Village People.

Last, but not least, Squad 4, arrived in "Beast Mode". As I mentioned earlier, this was a competition and I know all the Hawk fans out there will be happy to hear Marshawn Lynch (a.k.a Sea Gal Carli), adorned by his colorful, dancing Skittles, took home the crown.

Not only did we enjoy dressing up but we got the chance to have out very own Halloween dance party. As we began practice our dance room at VMAC was transformed into a disco fever dance hall where we had the chance to freestyle through a soul train line! The women on this team are not only beautiful and creative, but they can dance. It was so fun to break away from choreography for a second and really see my fellow team mates bust a move. From Sea Gal Laura doing the worm to Melissa highlighting her rhythmic gymnastics skills, it was a great to see everyone doing what they do best!

I've always loved the laughter and fun that Halloween brings and I was so happy to share this holiday with the Sea Gals. We are all so excited to see you at the game this weekend and we hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!
