Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks announced today a free viewing party to watch the 2012 NFL Draft. The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft will be held on Thursday, April 26, beginning at 5 p.m. The Seahawks hold the 12th overallpick on the first day of the three-day event. Doors open at 4 p.m. and fans can park in the North Lot or CenturyLink Field Event Center garage. Each NFL team has a time limit of 10 minutes in the first round and the approximate time of the Seahawks pick is 6:10 p.m.
The 2012 NFL Draft Viewing Party, presented by CenturyLink,will be held at the WaMu Theater located within the CenturyLink Field Event Center.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase the latest Seahawks gear including the new Seahawks jerseys from Nike and the 2012 Draft Cap. The team will construct a satellite Pro Shop within the Event Center in addition to extending the hours at the CenturyLink Field Pro Shop location.
The event is free but fans must register online due to limited space. The event features NFL Network's HD broadcast coverage shown on a custom designed four-sided, 15 ft x 20 ft ceiling suspended video panel display. The video display provides fans a 360 degree viewing opportunity throughout the event space. There will also be interactive activities, prize giveaways and entertainment throughout the event. Fans will also have access to the Seahawks locker room, used only on game days.
Seahawks-themed drink specials along with happy hour priced appetizers will be available. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet members of the Sea Gals.
Seahawks corporate partners will be on-site with team related promotions and giveaways including: an opportunity to "Win a Lunch with 2012 Rookie Class, presented by CenturyLink" and Bud Light giveaways and prizes.
Season tickets will be available for purchase and club level seats will be open to view.
