Asked about his effort Wednesday, the first thing Lane did was smile. Then he offered, “I was determined to get my man into the end zone. Teamwork.”
Lane also was determined to send a message.
“I actually was doing that just to make a point to all of them that if I ever catch a pick, I want my teammates to feel the same way about getting blocks so I can get into the end zone,” he said. “So I made sure I tried my hardest and gave 100 percent.”

“It’s exciting to be more involved,” Lane said. “Every guy wants to have a role on the team. And once they find out what that role is, they want to dominate that role.”
Just as Lane dominated Meacham in helping Bennett score his first NFL touchdown.
