What he did: Skansi, a five-sport letterman at Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor and former all-time leading receiver at the University of Washington, played in 100 games for the Seahawks from 1984-91. He caught 166 passes for 1,950 yards and 10 touchdowns – none bigger than his leaping grab of a 25-yard TD pass from Dave Krieg as time expired to tie the score in a 17-16 victory against the Chiefs in Kansas City in 1990.
What he’s doing: Skansi, 50, is in his 12th year as a college scout for the San Diego Chargers. He and his wife, Stephanie, have two daughters – Taylor and Madison – and live on Poulsbo.

My best memory as a Seahawks is: “As a game, probably the Kansas City game. And there were some playoff games in there that were very memorable. But the thing I remember most is the guys, the players. You now, the locker room camaraderie and that type of stuff.”
Something most people don’t know about me: “I guess what you see is what you get. I don’t know. Maybe that I have a sense of rumor, in a quiet way.”
If I could relive one day in my life: “You know, I don’t know. I don’t think I would really relive anything. Everything happens for a reason, and it guides you for the next part of your destination. You learn from the bad, you enjoy the good and everything shapes you accordingly.”
