'Brock and Salk' returns to 710 ESPN Seattle as local morning show

The Seahawks' flagship radio station has announced a revamped lineup featuring local programming from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.

The meaning behind 710 ESPN Seattle's '7.14.14' cipher is a mystery no more.

On July 14, 2014, the Seahawks' flagship radio station will unleash a revamped programming lineup featuring the return of program director Mike Salk to the airwaves. Salk, who helped launch the station in April 2009 and co-hosted 'Brock and Salk' for four years before spending the past year at WEEI in Boston, will reunite with the former University of Washington and Seahawks quarterback every weekday from 7-10 a.m. PT.

"I'm ecstatic," Huard said in a release issued by the station. "Mike and I have a unique chemistry and we can't wait to continue the great conversation we put on pause a year ago."

The new morning show will switch up the station's programming schedule throughout the rest of the day, with Danny O'Neil - the former Seahawks beat writer who joined the station full-time in 2013 as Huard's co-host - moving to the afternoon drive at 3 p.m. He'll team with former Seahawks linebacker Dave Wyman and Seattle sports writer Jim Moore until 7 p.m.

Michael Grey will move from his afternoon slot to midday to host the 'Michael Grey Show' at 10 a.m. with the 'Bob and Groz Show' holding strong from noon to 3 p.m.

"These changes make an already strong lineup even stronger and this is just the beginning," said Salk. "I'm thrilled with where the station is going and couldn't be more excited to get behind the mic."

In addition to the changes you’ll hear over your receivers, the station will launch a redesigned on July 14 that features a new layout and user-friendly experience for both desktop and mobile.
