Brandon Browner inactive for Seahawks

As expected, cornerback Brandon Browner will not play in Sunday night’s nationally televised game against the San Francisco 49ers at CenturyLink Field.

SEATTLE - As expected, cornerback Brandon Browner will not play in Sunday night’s nationally televised game against the San Francisco 49ers at CenturyLink Field.

Browner is among the seven players named inactive by the team.

Browner did not practice during the week, and also did not play last week against the Carolina Panthers with the hamstring injury he got during practice the week of the season opener. With Browner out, Walter Thurmond will start his second consecutive game, and Byron Maxwell will take over on the outside when Thurmond slides inside to cover the slot receiver in the nickel defense.
