It's the moment we've all been waiting for. Sort of.
The NFL has announced that the 2014 schedule is set to be released on Wednesday, April 23 at 5 p.m. PT on NFL Network and NFL.com, finally putting a firm date on a hot topic of the offseason.
The Seahawks have known their 2014 opponents for some time, but Wednesday's announcement from the NFL will unveil the date and time of each matchup. Seattle is slated to host the San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders, and New York Giants at CenturyLink Field. They'll pay a visit to the 49ers, Rams, Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, and Washington Redskins.
The team's preseason schedule was released two weeks ago when the Seahawks learned they'll meet three of their four exhibition opponents during the regular season. On the preseason docket for the Seahawks, which was finalized today, are games at the Broncos (Thursday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m.), vs the Chargers (Friday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m.), vs the Chicago Bears (Friday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.), and at the Raiders (Thursday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.). All preseason games can be seen on Q13 FOX and heard on 710 ESPN Seattle and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM.
