Wednesday Round-Up: ESPN.com Looks At The First-Half Impact Of Seahawks Rookies

ESPN.com rated how each Seahawks rookie has played through the first eight games of the season.

Good afternoon, 12s.

Here's a look at what's out there for today — Wednesday, November 8 — about your Seattle Seahawks:

Assessing The Impact Of Seahawks Rookies

ESPN.com's Brady Henderson reviewed the impact each Seahawks rookie has had through the first eight games of their respective NFL careers. Their grades vary depending on games played considering not all rookies have played a significant amount thus far.

Seahawks rookie cornerback Shaquill Griffin received the highest grade among players from the 2017 class, getting an "above-average" as a starter opposite of Richard Sherman. Here's what Henderson had to say about Griffin's play and you can read all of his player grades at this link.

*Other than Richard Sherman, no rookie cornerback under coach Pete Carroll has made as significant an impact as Griffin. He began the season as Seattle's No. 3 corner but has since overtaken Jeremy Lane as the starter opposite Sherman. Seattle has cycled through players at that spot since Brandon Browner left after the 2013 season. Griffin is there to stay. *

Tweet Of The Day

Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes Sherman, who received a Kyle Kozma jersey (he’s a big fan of him) from his favorite NBA basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers:

For ESPN Insider, Mike Sando broke down the most impactful offseason move for every NFL team:

*The move: Trading for DL Sheldon Richardson *

*The impact: Acquiring Richardson from the Jets for a 2018 second-round choice and receiver Jermaine Kearse signaled urgency for the Seahawks as their championship window narrows. The team doubled down during the season by trading additional picks to Houston for 32-year-old left tackle Duane Brown. The Richardson trade has helped the defense, but it's not yet clear whether Seattle will re-sign him for the long term. What is clear, increasingly, is that the urgency is running high for this team, this year. *
