If you're looking for an excuse to skip out on work or school over the next two days, the NFL's launch of Gameday Village in Pioneer Square should provide pretty good rationale.

Located in the heart of Seattle's Occidental Park and spanning three city blocks to CenturyLink Field's north lot, the NFL Gameday Village is the place to be for pregame activities ahead of Thursday night's NFL opener between the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks and Green Bay Packers.
The village, which is free for all fans to attend regardless of whether or not they have a ticket to Thursday's game, is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p..m. PT on Wednesday, Sept. 3, and from 10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. PT - 15 minutes prior to kickoff - on Thursday, Sept. 4.
On top of sponsorship activations and promotions, NFL Gameday Village will host several interactive opportunities for fans.
Former Seahawks left tackle Walter Jones, fullback Mack Strong, running back Shaun Alexander, and quarterbacks Jim Zorn and Warren Moon will be on hand to sign autographs at set times over the next two days.

Fans can also register for an NFL eVoucher for a chance to win a customized Seahawks jersey, as well as two tickets, pregame sideline passes and $50 worth of concessions for the Seahawks' Week 3 game against the Denver Broncos, set for Sunday, Sept. 21 in Seattle.
One block of Gameday Village will be dedicated entirely to kids, where an NFL Play 60 obstacle course, ball pit, and game simulator will be available. Former Seahawks defensive end Patrick Kerney, wide receiver Joey Galloway, and the aforementioned Jones, Alexander, Moon, and Strong will be on site to get down with the Seahawks youth.
Even if playing hookey is out of the question, Gameday Village appears primed to satisfy your pregame needs whenever you're finally free to enjoy the Seahawks' regular-season opener.
