Seahawks sign Bryan Walters to active roster; add Julius Warmsley, Josh Aubrey to practice squad
Two days after releasing Bryan Walters on their final cut-down to 53 players, the Seahawks announced they have re-signed the fifth-year wide receiver to the active roster. To make room for Walters, third-year wideout Phil Bates was released.
In addition to Walters, the Seahawks filled out the remaining two spots on their 10-man practice squad, signing defensive end Julius Warmsley and defensive back Josh Aubrey, who are also on the practice field today at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
Warmsley, a rookie who went undrafted out of Tulane, worked in training camp with the Houston Texans, while the second-year pro Aubrey spent 2013 with Cleveland Browns.
