On this date: Jim Zorn TD pass lifts Seahawks to first victory
Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane visited Kansas City, Kansas on Wednesday, July 27 to help bridge the fundraising gap for the Della Gill/Joyce H. Williams Shelter for Survivors of Domestic Violence to expand and enhance housing and program capacity for survivors and their children. 1976: The Seahawks win their first game, 17-16 over the Chargers, as tight end Ron Howard catches a 3-yard TD pass from Jim Zorn with 13 seconds left in the preseason matchup at the Kingdome. The expansion club had opened its first preseason – a six-game preseason – with losses to the 49ers at the Kingdome, the Bears in Spokane, the L.A. Rams at the Kingdome and the Broncos in Denver.
