Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Monday, August 18 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Russell Wilson Takes ALS #IceBucketChallenge To New Heights
In case you missed it, Russell Wilson was called out to take the #IceBucketChallenge in a very unique way by NHL player Paul Bissonnette last week. The Seahawks quarterback

Wilson passed his challenge on to Seahawks owner Paul Allen, Seattle rapper Macklemore, Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez, former Seattle Mariner Ken Griffey Jr., and Disney's Mickey Mouse.

ESPN Ranks Brandon Mebane NFL's 94th-Best Defensive Player
ESPN.com is ranking the League's Top 100 offensive and defensive players and today the site unveiled players ranked No. 100 - 91 on both sides of the ball. Eighty-five experts were polled in the process, asked to rank each player on a scale of 1-to-10, with 10 being the best regardless of position in the NFL.
Seahawks defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, who went unranked in last year's list, comes in at No. 94 this season.
On Mebane, ESPN Stats & Information writes: "The Seahawks allowed 3.4 yards per rush with Mebane on the field last season, compared to 4.8 yards per rush without him. He is one of two defensive tackles to start 16 games in each of the last three seasons."
Mama Sherman and the Legion of Super Fans
In a new commercial for Campbell's Chunky Soup, cornerback Richard Sherman's mother Beverly is featured along with a "Legion of Super Fans" on a mission to get Sherman his Beer-n-Cheese with Beef & Bacon soup. It's an interesting advertisement, to say the least.
It's Madden Season
Sherman is also featured in a new commerical for Madden NFL 15, the popular video game set to be released Aug. 26 that features the All-Pro Seahawks cornerback on the game's cover, and his Legion of Boom teammates on the game's start-up screen.
The commercial also features comedian Kevin Hart and actor Dave Franco in a hilarious bit that's definitely worth a watch.
