Percy Harvin Tops 2014 Training Camp Honors
With the Seahawks officially wrapping up training camp yesterday, Seahawks.com's Clare Farnsworth doles out his annual camp honors where he labels wide receiver Percy Harvin the camp's Most Impressive Player.
“My body is feeling tremendously good," Harvin told Farnsworth. "I’ve actually reached some gears that I didn’t know I had. I’m feeling very, very fast right now.”
Defensive end Michael Bennett and linebacker K.J. Wright earn mentions as Best Defensive Players, wideout Doug Baldwin as Best Offensive Player, kicker Steven Hauschka as Best Special Teams Player, wide receiver Paul Richardson as Best Rookie, defensive tackle Kevin Williams as Best Free Agent Addition, and wide receiver Phil Bates as Most Improved Player. Cassius Marsh, Home Run Derby Champ
Rookie defensive end Cassius Marsh came out on top of the team's fifth-annual training camp home run derby, held this past Tuesday in the indoor practice facility at Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
Marsh's win marks the first time ever that a non-quarterback has claimed the crown, with Russell Wilson winning the past two years and former Seahawk Charlie Whitehurst earning the title in 2010 and 2011. Read
