Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Friday, August 1 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Before we get into rehashing yesterday's news, a quick note about today: The Seahawks will receive a little bit lighter workload, with practice kicking off at 10:10 a.m. and wrapping up by 11:15 a.m.
The Beast Is Back
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch arrived at Seahawks headquarters after Thursday's training camp practice at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Lynch was absent from the first week of camp, but looks to jump right back in as the lead back in coordinator Darrell Bevell's offensive attack.
Anthony McCoy To Injured Reserve
Fifth-year pro Anthony McCoy was placed on injured reserve with a torn Achilles tendon. The injury marks the second straight season to be spent on IR for the Seahawks tight end.
A Special Visit
The Seahawks and USAA hosted 80 U.S. Marines during Thursday's practice as part of Seattle Marine Week. Five helicopters conducted a fly over that was capped off with several Marines fast-roping into Lake Washington and swimming ashore to greet Seahawks players, coaches, staff, and fans.
Tweet of the Day
Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from Seahawks quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who shared this shot of yesterday's VMAC "invasion" from U.S. Marines.
