Seahawks Reach 90-Man Roster Limit
Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks have signed guard C.J. Davis and wide receiver David Gilreath, the team announced this morning.
Davis originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Carolina Panthers on May 1, 2009 and played in seven games for the Panthers in 2010. He spent time on and off the Panthers practice squad and was released on September 5, 2011. He was signed by the Denver Broncos on February 15, 2012 and played in seven games that season before being released after training camp on August 31, 2013.
Seattle is Gilreath’s seventh team since entering the NFL on July 29, 2011 with the Indianapolis Colts. He has also spent time with St. Louis (2011), Buffalo (2011), Pittsburgh (2012, 2013), Tampa Bay (2012) and Oakland (2014). He played in three games with Pittsburgh in 2012 and recorded one rush for seven yards.
