Seahawks Sign Wide Receiver Kevin Smith

It was family day here at the VMAC as the Seahawks had their last practice of the week before heading to San Diego tomorrow for a preaseon matchup against the Chargers on Saturday.
Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have signed rookie wide receiver Kevin Smith, the team announced this afternoon.
Smith was originally signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted rookie free agent out of the University of Washington on May 12. He was released by Arizona on June 4 and claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars on June 5. Jacksonville released Smith on June 19.
Smith recorded a team-high 765 receiving yards on 50 catches with four receiving touchdowns during his senior season at Washington in 2013, averaging 58.8 yards per game. In his career, Smith played in 47 games with 72 receptions for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns, while also returning 62 kicks for 1,445 yards for an average of 23.3 yards per return.
