Seahawks Hold Final OTA
Today marks the Seahawks' ninth and final day of Organized Team Activities at Virginia Mason Athletic Center, wrapping up Phase 3 of the team's offseason program. We'll have a complete recap of the day's events in written stories, videos, and photos later this afternoon on Seahawks.com.
A quick reminder that the team's mandatory three-day minicamp kicks off next week, running Tuesday, June 17 to Thursday, June 19. To this point, all of the Seahawks' offseason work has been conducted on a voluntary basis. Read
Jordan Hill & Jesse Williams Making Progress
Defensive tackles Jordan Hill and Jesse Williams, selected in the third (Hill) and fifth (Williams) rounds of the 2013 NFL Draft, have been working in tandem during the team's OTA sessions this offseason. Head coach Pete Carroll has dubbed the pair of second-year players part of the team's "red-shirt" class - players that missed time last season to injury, but who are expected to contribute in 2014.
“They’re doing well,” defensive line coach Travis Jones told Seahawks.com Digital Media Reporter Clare Farnsworth. “Both have had a good offseason and trained really well. So they came in in much better shape than either one of them was in last year. It’s been real refreshing and fun to see them running around and competing in drills.
“I’m real pleased with the progress each has shown this spring.” Read
Cliff Avril Delivers Seattle Mariners Ceremonial First Pitch
Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Seattle Mariners' game against the New York Yankees last night at Safeco Field. Avril, who said he was "more nervous for this than the Super Bowl," was joined by fellow D-linemen Brandon Mebane and Michael Bennett on the field. Read

Madden NFL 15 has released gameplay footage between the Seahawks and NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers that you can check out in the YouTube video above.
