Kam Chancellor ranked No. 65 in NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2014
ESPN Deportes Brazilian announcers call Arizona Cardinals kicker Chandler Catanzaro missing potential game-winning 24-yard field goal in overtime vs. Seattle Seahawks in Week 7 of the 2016 NFL season. Watch
Seahawks fans will be delighted to learn that strong safety Kam Chancellor has a reason to hit even harder this upcoming season.
NFL Network added fuel to Chancellor's already white-hot fire on Wednesday night, when their countdown of the Top 100 Players of 2014 ranked him at No. 65 overall.
"More fuel.. Keep feeding me," was Chancellor's reaction to the news via Twitter. "I haven't hit my hardest yet. #HeavyHitters I rate myself, I respect myself. I control my own destiny."
The Top 100 list is voted on by players around the League, and you'd think the last thing Seahawks opponents would want to do is give the All-Pro Chancellor another reason to bring the boom. But that's exactly what they did- whether they like it or not - when the final ballots came down.
The list, which unveiled players ranked No. 70 - 61 today, features four other safeties outside of Chancellor - the San Diego Chargers' Eric Weddle (No. 92), Denver Broncos' T.J. Ward (No. 82), New York Giants' Antrel Rolle (No. 72), and Pittsburgh Steelers' Troy Polamalu (No. 61).
The announcement makes Chancellor the first Seahawk to be included in this year's Top 100. It also signifies a first for Chancellor, whose name didn't crack the list a season ago - something we'll safely assume he used as motivation during the Seahawks' 2013 run through Super Bowl XLVIII.
