Seahawks Select Sergeant Baker to Announce 4th Round Pick at NFL Draft

RENTON, Wash. - The Seahawks announced today that U.S. Army Ranger Sergeant Jeff Baker will announce the Seahawks 4th Round pick at the 2014 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall.
Sergeant Baker is an active duty U.S. Army soldier and is stationed at Ft. Benning with the 75th Ranger Regiment, an elite special operations unit.
Sergeant Baker grew up watching Seahawks games with his family and went to many games with his father. Baker joined the U.S. Army in2005 at the age of 18. He was deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and six times during Operation Enduring Freedom.
In December 2012, Sergeant Baker was working as a U.S. sniper in Afghanistan and was severely injured by a vehicle born improvised explosive device (VBIED). He was less than 15 feet from the car bomb when it went off, suffering injuries to his left arm, shrapnel to his face and arms and a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). He was awarded the Purple Heart in 2012.
