Walter Jones to announce Seahawks’ second-round draft choice
Hall of Fame left tackle Walter Jones, a first-round selection by the Seahawks in 1997, will announce the team’s pick during the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft next Friday.
The league announced Thursday the list of former players who will be at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and Jones is one of 12 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame who will participate – joining Arizona Cardinals safety Aeneas Williams, Atlanta Falcons defensive end Claude Humphrey, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Andre Reed, Chicago Bears linebacker Mike Singletary, Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Lofton, Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Curly Culp, Miami Dolphins guard Larry Little, New York Giants linebacker Harry Carson, Oakland Raiders cornerback Willie Brown and Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrick Brooks.
Jones was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Feb. 1, the day before the Seahawks’ 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. He will be enshrined in August. Brooks, Reed, Humphrey and Williams also are members of the Hall of Fame’s 2014 class.
