"SEA!"-"HAWKS!" ... "SEA!"-"HAWKS!" ... "SEA!"-"HAWKS!"
You've heard it every gameday at CenturyLink Field. You've heard it at your local watering hole. You've heard it from that friendly flock of Seahawks fans walking down the street.
And now you've heard it from singer/songwriter/actor/producer/do-it-all renaissance man Justin Timberlake, who got the 12th Man riled up during his sold-out show Friday night at Seattle's Key Arena.
On the day before the day before Sunday's NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers at CenturyLink Field, the "SEA!"-"HAWKS!" mantra escalated organically from the 16,000-plus on hand before Timberlake took the stage.
"12th Man is in the building tonight!" Timberlake exclaims in the YouTube video above.
Several Seahawks players including free safety Earl Thomas, wide receiver Golden Tate, kicker Steven Hauschka, defensive end Greg Scruggs and linebackers Bobby Wagner and Heath Farwell were in attendance along with Sunday's halftime performer and Seattle-native Macklemore. The group joined Timberlake for a few pre-performance pics backstage.
The scene added yet another large layer of fanaticism to the already unbelievable level of Seahawks support oozing from all corners of the Emerald City and throughout the Pacific Northwest. The wait is almost over, 12th Man.
Tomorrow's conference title game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. PT with national television coverage on FOX (channel 13 in Seattle).
