Seahawks and Sportservice to Serve Russell Wilson-Inspired 'DangeRuss Dog' at NFC Championship Game
Seattle Seahawks players will have the chance to share the causes that are important to them during all Week 13 games, as part of the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats campaign. Defensive end Cliff Avril, wide receiver Doug Baldwin, tight end Jimmy Graham, cornerback Richard Sherman, and quarterback Russell Wilson all chose to participate, personalizing their footwear to help tell their stories. SEATTLE, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks and food and beverage partner Delaware North Sportservice on Wednesday unveiled a new hot dog inspired by quarterback Russell Wilson's love of mac 'n' cheese and other new team-themed menu items to be served at the NFC Championship Game Sunday vs. San Francisco at CenturyLink Field.
The new menu items, developed by Sportservice Executive Chef Seis Kamimura and his culinary team at CenturyLink Field, join the "The Beast Burger," which debuted at the Seahawks' divisional playoff victory Saturday over New Orleans.
New for Sunday's game in general concessions are:
The DangeRuss Dog - The hot dog was inspired by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his love of mac 'n' cheese. The foot-long hot dog is topped with Beecher's mac 'n'cheese, the Seattle favorite that Sportservice serves at CenturyLink Field, as well as caramelized onions, house-made Sriracha honey hot sauce, diced jalapeno peppers and crispy "Seahawks Strips," fried blue and green tortilla chips.
12s Nachos - In honor of the "12s," as Seahawks fans, known as the loudest in the NFL, have been dubbed, Sportservice has enhanced the nachos it serves at CenturyLink Field. The new 12s Nachos features larger blue and green crispy tortilla chips that are more suitable for sharing. They are topped with chipotle cheese sauce, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo and green onions. The tortilla chips are produced by La Mexicana of Seattle.
New for Sunday's game on the suites menu are "Boom" Battered Corn Dogs, house-made blue and green crusted corn dogs served with a side of "Hawks" mustard; ChampionChip Cookies loaded with many more chips than usual chocolate chip cookies; and 12s Cake, a foot-wide and 8-inch high cake with 12 distinct layers, making sharing with other "12s" a great option.
Sportservice sold 1,000 of The Beast Burger at Saturday's game. The burger, which pays homage to Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and his "Beast Mode" power running, features two hamburger patties, bacon, cheddar cheese, ham, onion rings, lettuce, tomato and red onion, and is served with fries and Skittles candy, of which Lynch is a big fan.
Since coming to CenturyLink Field in March, Sportservice has developed broad menus with regionally-inspired items for the concessions and premium areas and also serves a wide variety of regional craft beers and wines. Part of Delaware North Companies, a leading global hospitality and food service provider, Sportservice operates at more than 50 U.S. sporting and entertainment venues, including 26 in major professional sports for 28 different franchises. Sportservice will also be the food and beverage provider at the Feb. 2 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Read
