Are you fighting a little bit of boredom during the Seahawks' playoff bye week?
Have no fear! Several fan activities are here!
Ahead of the Seahawks' divisional playoff game on January 11, 2014, the club has challenged fans to share their passion and pride for the team in a couple of different ways.
First, the Seahawks want to see your #Hawkitecture. It's a play on the word "Architecture" and it's a pretty clever one at that.
Corporations, office buildings, schools, hotels, and local building owners are invited to show their support for the club by adding some Seahawks flair - signage, flags, lights, colors, etc. - to the exterior of their building. By sharing images of your #Hawkitecture with the Seahawks on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) you'll be eligible to win a customized No. 12 jersey and flag raising event with a Seahawks player.
All #Hawkitecture submissions will be judged based on originality, creativity, and overall use of available space, and on Thursday, January 9, 2014 a winner of the contest will be chosen. Read
Next, the club wants you - the 12s - to send your words of encouragement to the Seahawks using the #DearSeahawks hashtag on social media.
Your #DearSeahawks messages, cheers, and signs of support will be delivered to the club in a unique way before the team's divisional-round playoff game at CenturyLink Field. Post your #DearSeahawks messages and let the team know you're all in with them. Read
On top of the team's two social media-related milestones, fans can pick up an "I'M IN" sign to display at their home, work, or school. It's a replica of the "I'M IN" sign and slogan you'll see Seahawks players, coaches, and staff reach up and tap with their hand as they enter the practice field here at Virginia Mason Athletic Center and on gameday at CenturyLink Field. The gesture signifies a commitment to compete, set all distractions aside, and focus solely on the opportunity at hand.
You can pick up your complimentary "I'M IN" sign at one of the following locations: Read
- THE PRO SHOP at CenturyLink Field or 4th Avenue and Pike Street
- Microsoft Stores (downtown Seattle, Bellevue Square and University Village)
- Western Washington SUBWAY® restaurants
