EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Any news regarding the Seahawks’ inactive players for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium is old news.
Linebacker K.J. Wright won’t play, but we knew that after he has surgery because he broke a bone in his right foot last week. Cornerback Brandon Browner, who returned an interception a club-record 94 yards to ice the Seahawks victory here in 2011, won’t play. But we knew that, too, because he’s out with a groin injury.
Malcolm Smith will start for Wright, and Byron Maxwell will continue to start for Browner. Smith has stepped in on two other occasions this season for injured teammates.
