Good morning, 12th Man.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - (Blue) Friday, November 22 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Dan Graziano of ESPN.com has his latest MVP Watch, and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (No. 3) and running back Marshawn Lynch (No. 9) appear on his Top 10. Wilson appeared at the same spot a week ago, but Lynch is a new addition to the poll. On Lynch, Graziano writes, "This is the guy for whom Russell Wilson would vote if he had a vote, which he doesn't, but that's just the kind of dude Wilson is. He's a team player whose own awesomeness doesn't impress him as far as you know, and he's smart enough to realize what he's got in a backfield mate with Lynch. There are going to be days when Wilson needs to plug all of the variables into his own mental computer and figure out the exact parameters of the next four throws he needs to win the game. And there are going to be days when they're up big because of special things Wilson did in the first half and the way to win is to hand it off to a running back who can't be tackled or tired in spite of an over-reliance on Skittles as his primary source of nutrition."
Brady Henderson of 710Sports.com notes ESPN.com columnist Jeffri Chadiha isn't ready to put quarterback Russell Wilson into the conversation for League MVP, as he recaps a Thursday segment with Chadiha on "Brock and Danny."
Brock Huard of 710Sports.com has his latest "Chalk Talk" session, this time breaking down "The Percy Harvin Effect" that helped quarterback Russell Wilson find wide receiver Doug Baldwin for a 19-yard touchdown pass just before halftime against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.
Jerry Brewer of the Seattle Times highlights some of the off the field work being done by head coach Pete Carroll and A Better Seattle.
John McGrath of the Tacoma News Tribune takes a look at how far the Seahawks have come in the 17 years under club chairman Paul Allen.
With an eye on Week 13, Art Thiel of SportsPressNW.com recaps the New Orleans Saints' 17-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons last night at the Georgia Dome. The Saints (9-2) - and the rest of the nation - now turn their attention toward the team's Monday Night Football matchup with the Seahawks on December 2 at CenturyLink Field.
