On this date: Moon-to-Galloway wins game, but Seahawks lose Cortez Kennedy

Defensive end Cliff Avril, wide receiver Doug Baldwin, tight end Jimmy Graham, cornerback Richard Sherman, and quarterback Russell Wilson all chose to participate, personalizing their footwear to help tell their stories. 1997: Warren Moon and Joey Galloway hook up on a game-winning 40-yard touchdown pass with 2:20 left in a 37-31 victory over the Chargers in San Diego. But the Seahawks lose Pro Bowl defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy to a season-ending ankle injury.
1980: The Chiefs rally for 21 points in the fourth quarter to grab a 31-30 victory over the Seahawks at the Kingdome, as Jim Zorn throws five interceptions. Linebacker Frank Manumaleuga returns one of his two interceptions 22 yards for a touchdown.
1986: Bill Kenney throws three touchdown passes and the Chiefs’ defense holds the Seahawks to 25 rushing yards in handing Seattle a 27-7 loss at Arrowhead Stadium.
1987: On a drizzly, smoky Monday night at Giants Stadium, Jojo Townsell returns a punt 91 yards for a touchdown and Frank Leahy kicks three field goals as the Jets slap the Seahawks with 30-14 loss.
2003: Wide receiver Rod Garner throws a 10-yard touchdown pass to running back Trung Canidate with less than two minutes remaining to give the Redskins a 27-20 victory over the visiting Seahawks, who were up 14-3 and then down 20-17 in the game.
2008: In their first trip to Miami since 2000, the Seahawks fall behind 14-0 and then rally before losing to the Dolphins 21-19. Jordan Babineaux returns an interception 35 yards for a touchdown for the Seahawks. Read
