On this date: '83 Seahawks complete sweep of Raiders
A look at some memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Oct. 30:
1983: The Seahawks complete a regular-season sweep of the Raiders with a 34-21 victory in Los Angeles. Dave Krieg starts the game, replacing a struggling Jim Zorn, and remains the starter for the next eight seasons. Krieg is 13 of 22 for 156 yards and a touchdown in the game, while Curt Warner runs for 101 yards and a score. Kenny Easley has an interception and a sack, as the Seahawks intercept Marc Wilson four times and sack the Raiders’ QB five times.
1977: Jim Zorn returns after missing four games with an injury and leads a 56-17 win over the Bills at the Kingdome. The Seahawks set 15 club records in the game and tie six others – including Zorn’s four touchdown passes.
1988: Kelly Stouffer throws touchdown passes to Brian Blades and John L. Williams as the Seahawks snap a two-game losing streak by beating the San Diego Chargers 17-14 at the Kingdome. Paul Moyer leads the defensive effort with eight tackles and an interception.
2011: The Seahawks roll up 411 offensive yards, but lose 34-12 to the Cincinnati Bengals in Seattle as Reggie Nelson returns an interception 75 yards for a touchdown and Brandon Tate returns a punt 56 yards for a score.
