Drew Wallen of Auburn Riverside Named Week 6 CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week

With the Seahawks final preseason game on Thursday night, the team combined Competition Wednesday and Turnover Thursday into one day, hopefully preparing themselves for later in the year when they play on Thursday night in the regular season.
Due to the shortened week, the team doubled up on a Tuesday practice of preseason week four with the themes of "Competition Wednesday" and "Turnover Thursday".

Drew will be recognized at CenturyLink Field during the October 13 game against the Tennessee Titans.
Drew, a senior at Auburn Riverside, was selected Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Drew holds a 3.99 GPA and is the ASB School President. He volunteers at his church, works as a youth basketball referee and is a part of the "Be Nice Anti-Bullying Campaign." Drew is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, National Honor Society, and Key Club. As a senior on the football team, Drew was elected team captain after earning All-SPSL honorable mention honors after hauling in 43 catches for 554 yards and 3 TD's during his junior season last year.
As the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week, Drew will also be recognized at his school in front of his family, peers and teachers. He will also receive a $1,000 grant from CenturyLink and the Seahawks for his school's Associated Student Bodies (ASB) fund, in addition to media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, and a customized 2013 Seahawks jersey.
