Seahawks fans came out in droves on Saturday in San Diego.
It was family day here at the VMAC as the Seahawks had their last practice of the week before heading to San Diego tomorrow for a preaseon matchup against the Chargers on Saturday.
Good morning, and here's what's "out there" for today, Tuesday, July 30, about your Seattle Seahawks:
Dave Boling of the Tacoma News Tribune highlights the unheralded play of wide receivers Stephen Williams and Jermaine Kearse, tight end Sean McGrath, defensive lineman Jaye Howard and cornerback Jeremy Lane through four training camp practice sessions.
John Boyle of the Everett Herald provides a look at the development of cornerback Walter Thurmond.
Bud Withers of the Seattle Times recaps a conversation he had on cornerback Richard Sherman with current Stanford head coach David Shaw at Pac-12 football media day. Withers relays that Shaw, the team's offensive coordinator/receivers coach at the time, originally declined Sherman's request to move from wide receiver to cornerback in college, forcing him to play one more year at wideout.
Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times has a look at what we've learned after four Seahawks training camp practices and addresses whether or not it is too soon to worry about tight end Zach Miller's sore foot.
General manager John Schneider joined SiriusXM Blitz to talk about the status of wide receiver Percy Harvin.
Linebacker K.J. Wright joined 710 AM ESPN Seattle's "Wyman, Mike and Moore" to talk about what it's like playing under new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
Assistant head coach/offensive line coach Tom Cable joined 710 AM ESPN Seattle's "Brock and Danny" to deliver some insight on the team's O-line.
Danny O'Neil and Brock Huard of "Brock and Danny" also talk about the addition of linebacker O'Brien Schofield, Walter Thurmond's competition for a spot at corner, and Bruce Irvin's transition to strong-side linebacker in their "Blue 42."
Brent Stecker of 710Sports.com shares several snippets from O'Neil's Monday "Hawk Talk" conversation.
Peter Jackel of the journaltimes.com describes the relationship between a pair of Wisconsin Badgers - free safety Chris Maragos and quarterback Russell Wilson.
ESPN.com NFC West blogger Mike Sando has his daily look around the division.
Here at Seahawks.com, Digital Media Reporter Clare Farnsworth features the play of running back Marshawn Lynch and passes along offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell's assessment of the position group. Farnsworth also details the productive play of Bruce Irvin at rush-end and strong-side linebacker through the first four practices of camp.
