SEATTLE - Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Seattle-headquartered asset management firm Russell Investments are teaming up for the 2013 NFL season to establish a charitable giving program, "Invested with Russell."
For every Seahawks touchdown pass and run that Russell Wilson records during the 2013 season, Russell Investments will donate $2,000 to Wilson's charitable foundation which supports youth activities for communities in need. The names of the specific charities to benefit from this partnership will be announced at the end of the season.
"I'm excited to launch this program with Russell Investments," said Seahawks QB Russell Wilson. "The touchdowns we score will now have a direct impact on the youth in our community."
"We're proud to say that we share more than just a name with Russell Wilson. We also believe in giving back, investing in growth, and making a meaningful difference in the community," said Len Brennan, CEO, Russell Investments. "We're focused on outcomes and real results, and that extends from what we do in the community to how we work with our clients around the globe. That's why we're excited to team up with the Seahawks and Russell Wilson, a player who gives Seattle so much to cheer about, on and off the field."
Russell Investments and its associates support hundreds of charitable organizations around the world with their time, talent and donations. For more than 75 years, Russell associates have helped improve the quality of life for people in the neighborhoods where they live and work. Read
