Seahawks Make Roster Moves
Seattle Seahawks players will have the chance to share the causes that are important to them during all Week 13 games, as part of the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats campaign. Defensive end Cliff Avril, wide receiver Doug Baldwin, tight end Jimmy Graham, cornerback Richard Sherman, and quarterback Russell Wilson all chose to participate, personalizing their footwear to help tell their stories. Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have released cornerback Ron Parker and signed wide receiver Deon Butler to the 53-man active roster, the team announced this morning.
Seattle signed Parker from Carolina's practice squad on December 5 and he played in two games, seeing time at cornerback while also collecting two solo special teams tackles.
Butler signed with Seattle as a free agent on December 15 and played in one game but was released on December 24. He was originally a third-round (91st overall) choice in the 2009 NFL Draft by Seattle.
