Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have placed guard James Carpenter on the reserve/non-football illness list for the remainder of the season, waived/injured wide receiver Braylon Edwards and signed guard Rishaw Johnson from the practice squad to active roster, the team announced this afternoon.
Carpenter's season was cut short for the second-consecutive year but started all seven games played at left guard in 2012. In two seasons, he has started all 16 games played.
Edwards signed with Seattle on July 31 and played in 10 games with one start, totaling eight receptions for 74 yards and one touchdown.
Johnson signed with Seattle on April 28 as an undrafted rookie free agent and was signed to its practice squad on September 1.
