Renton, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have activated cornerback Walter Thurmond from the physically unable to perform list to the 53-man active roster and have signed wide receiver Charly Martin to the practice squad, the team announced this afternoon.
Since being drafted by Seattle in the fourth-round (111th overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft, Thurmond has played in 19 games with four starts, totaling 45 tackles (36 solo), nine passes defensed and one forced fumble. His 2011 season was cut short due to a leg injury suffered at Cleveland (10/23/11) and was subsequently placed on injured reserve.
Martin was released on Tuesday, clearing a roster spot for Thurmond.
