Seahawks Announce the Week Nine High School Coaches of the Week
RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks and Sterling Bank today announced Kelso High School's Pat Hymes and Jenkins (Chewelah) High School's Jim Fisk as week nine "NFL High School Coaches of the Week."
Hymes led his Kelso Hilanders (8-1) to 20-14 victory over the visiting Prairie Falcons in the league matchup on Friday, October 26. The win secured the number one seed in the Greater St. Helens League moving into Quad-District play this weekend.
Fisk and the Chewelah Cougars put on a show, beating the visiting Riverside Rams by a score of 55-7 on Friday, October 19, as the team improved its record to 8-1 on the season. The victory claimed the Northeast A League championship for the Cougars.
Now in its 17th season, the NFL High School Coach of the Week program is a partnership between the Washington State Football Coaches Association, the Seattle Seahawks and Sterling Bank.
Following the season, one coach will receive the Jim Ennis Award for High School Coach of the Year. The 2012 NFL High School Coach of the Year for Washington State will receive a $2,000 cash grant
