Seahawks Announce the Week Eight CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week
The Seahawks have traveled to San Diego to take on the Chargers in their third preseason game of the year, a game that will see the starters get the most playing time of the preseason.

It was family day here at the VMAC as the Seahawks had their last practice of the week before heading to San Diego tomorrow for a preaseon matchup against the Chargers on Saturday.
"Turnover Thursday" was the motto for Wednesdays practice of preseason week 3 in preparation for the San Diego Chargers.
SEATTLE and RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) and Q13 FOX (KCPQ) today announced Erin Kitano of Highline High School as the week eight CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week. Erin will be recognized on the field at CenturyLink Field during the November 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Erin, a senior at Highline, was selected Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Erin is enrolled in running start and has taken AP classes throughout her high school years. She is a member of the Honor Society and has attended Seattle Japanese Language School for 12 years where she is fluent in reading. Erin plans on majoring in international business with a double minor in Spanish and Japanese. In the community, Erin has spent many hours volunteering at Tukwila Elementary School, working with special needs children. She also volunteers helping teach snow-skiing at the Rokka Ski School. She is involved with the Link Crew leadership program. As a member of the swim team, Erin has been the team captain for the past two years and has qualified for districts on relay teams for the past several years. In her first year of high school swim, Erin was voted Rookie of the Year. Erin began swimming year-round when she was eight years-old and received the Paul Robeson Scholar Athlete Award for many years.
As high school athlete of the week, the student-athlete will also be recognized at their school in front of their family, peers and teachers. They will also receive a $1,000 grant from CenturyLink and the Seahawks for their school's ASB fund, in addition to media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, and a customized 2012 Nike Seahawks jersey.
