Seahawks Announce the Week Seven CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week

SEATTLE and RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks, CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) and Q13 FOX (KCPQ) today announced Paige Kuhn of Aberdeen High School as the week seven CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week. Paige will be recognized on the field at CenturyLink Field during the November 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Paige, a senior at Aberdeen, was selected Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance. Paige holds a 3.9 GPA, is ranked top-10 in her class and is enrolled in several AP courses. She was the winner of Miss Apple Valley and will compete for the title of Miss Washington in July. In 8th grade, Paige started a school supplies drive called "Kids Helping Kids" and she has collected over 5,000 school supply items for needy children in Grays Harbor County and Washington State. She regularly volunteers with Aberdeen "Foodball" (food bank), Sons of Norway, and Salvation Army Kettle campaigns. Paige is involved in leadership class, was voted Senior class president, and was recently named Aberdeen Youth Volunteer/Leader of the Year for 2012. As a member of the soccer team, Paige has been a mid-fielder on varsity for three years and helped the team make it to districts for the first time in many years. She is also the captain of the cheer squad and the girls golf team, and a three-time state gold participant and finished 12th at last year's state tournament. Paige will also be participating in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York later this year for cheer.
As high school athlete of the week, the student-athlete will also be recognized at their school in front of their family, peers and teachers. They will also receive a $1,000 grant from CenturyLink and the Seahawks for their school's ASB fund, in addition to media recognition, tickets and sideline passes to a Seahawks game, and a customized 2012 Nike Seahawks jersey.
