RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks Women's Association is hosting a 'Football 101' workshop on Saturday, October 13 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) in Renton.
This interactive workshop is designed to teach attendees the technical side of the game, including the basic rules and fundamentals. The workshop will feature a question and answer session with current players and coaches, classroom instruction, on-the-field drills in the VMAC indoor practice facility. Registration is $75 and space is limited.
Participants will receive a Seahawks "Football 101" playbook and t-shirt, access to an autograph session with current Seahawks players, a "Football 101" gift bag, and snacks and beverages
"Football 101 is a great opportunity for women who already watch football every Sunday with their husbands to learn more about the fundamentals and strategy of the game," said Michaela Bradley, spouse of defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Wings of Karen, a non-profit breast cancer foundation supporting research in the Pacific Northwest that benefits women everywhere. The event is part of the league-wide NFL campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer during the month of October.
