Seahawks Launch Mobile App

With the Seahawks final preseason game on Thursday night, the team combined Competition Wednesday and Turnover Thursday into one day, hopefully preparing themselves for later in the year when they play on Thursday night in the regular season.
Due to the shortened week, the team doubled up on a Tuesday practice of preseason week four with the themes of "Competition Wednesday" and "Turnover Thursday".

RENTON, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks have launched a new mobile app, available for free on iPhone, Android, most BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices (see full list below).
Seahawks Mobile, presented by Verizon Wireless, offers a one-stop shop for all Seahawks related content including live score updates, team stats, a fantasy football tracker, on-demand video, team articles, photos, Sea Gals information and more. For social media-savvy fans, the app features an aggregated Twitter feed with real-time updates from the team and one-click social-media sharing of all photos, news and videos. In addition, fans will be able to use the Seahawks mobile app to download their favorite Seahawks-themed cell phone wallpaper images.
"The Seahawks mobile app provides real time statistics, team news, videos and photos," said Seahawks president Peter McLoughlin. "In addition the app will provide unique content including instant access to team social media with the ability for the fans to check in using Facebook or Foursquare."
Coming later this season, Verizon Wireless customers will be able to access exclusive content, including the director's cut of "Seahawks All-Access" with additional footage that can be found nowhere else. Future app updates will feature an enhanced in-stadium experience including instant video replay, live video, and in-depth CenturyLink Field stadium information.
To download the free app, fans can search "Seahawks Mobile" in Apple's App Store, Google's Play Marketplace Store, Blackberry App World, or Windows Phone Marketplace. Message and data rates may apply for the download of the app and its use.
The app was developed in partnership with Verizon Wireless and leading sports team app developer Yinzcam, Inc.
