Seahawks encourage fans to arrive early for Redskins Game

It was family day here at the VMAC as the Seahawks had their last practice of the week before heading to San Diego tomorrow for a preaseon matchup against the Chargers on Saturday.
"Turnover Thursday" was the motto for Wednesdays practice of preseason week 3 in preparation for the San Diego Chargers.
RENTON, Wash. - SeattleSeahawksfans are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early for the Seahawks versus Redskins game on Sunday, November 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Touchdown City opens at 10 a.m. and gates open at 11 a.m. For tickets, visit Seahawks.com/tickets.
In addition to regular game day activities, more than 17,000 participants have signed up for the Seattle Marathon that begins at 7:15 a.m. at the Seattle Center. As part of the course, the I-90 express lanes will be closed until 11 a.m.
This will also be the first Seahawks game that security personnel will begin using hand-held metal detectors as part of the screening process.
"The safety and security of our fans is our highest priority," said Seahawks president Peter McLoughlin. "As part of a NFL league wide initiative, the hand-held metal detectors will enable game day staff to screen fans more efficiently and effectively."
As recommended from WSDOT, fans are invited to experience public transportation options including the following: Sounder Rail Service, Sound Transit, Link Light Rail and Metro Transit.
Additional parking is available for fans at the Metro Transit garage located on 6th Avenue and Royal Brougham, just a few blocks east of CenturyLink Field. The garage is open from 10 a.m. until one hour after the end of the game and is$30. The garage will be available for Seahawks fans for the rest of the season.
SeaTac Airport offers a 50% discount off garage parking fees to all Seahawks ticket holders. Fans can walk from the parking garage to the Link Light Rail station for quick access to CenturyLink Field.

Sounder Rail Service
Sounder Trains will operate for every Sunday game with service to King Street Station from Tacoma and Everett with stops in between. The south-line trains will depart at 10, 20 and 45 minutes after the game ends and the north-line trains will depart at 15 and 35 minutes after the game ends.
Sound Transit Express Bus Service
Sound Transit bus service offers transportation from areas throughout Pierce, King and Snohomish counties with service every 30 minutes and stops within three blocks of CenturyLink Field.
Link Light Rail
The Central Link offers service from Tukwila to Downtown Seattle with two stations near CenturyLink Field.
Metro Transit will be offer Park & Ride bus service from Eastgate, South Kirkland and Northgate transit stations. Buses begin to depart two hours prior to kickoff. The last bus departs 45 minutes before kickoff.
- The bus shuttle fare is $4 one way or $8 round trip. Vouchers for the round trip can be purchased from bus drivers on the pre-game trip.
- Shuttles will run for all Seahawks Sunday home games.
SoundRunner Ferry will depart from the Kingston Ferry Terminal and drop off at Pier 50 in Seattle. Pier 50 is located south of the Washington State Ferry dock and is a short walk to the stadium. The fare is $10 one way and can be purchased in advance on the website or at the kiosk 30 minutes before sailing from Kingston or on the boat after leaving the dock in Seattle.
