Renton, Wash. -- Seahawks safety Deon Grant and defensive end Patrick Kerney will have operations today, the team announced this morning.
Kerney will have an operation on his left elbow, performed by Head Team Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Ed Khalfayan. He will remove small, loose cartilage and bone fragments.
The surgery is considered routine and a 4-6 weeks recovery period is expected.
Grant will have an operation on his left wrist, performed by Dr. Carlton Keck, a hand and wrist surgeon in Seattle. He will operate on Grant's left wrist to reconstruct a torn ligament sustained in the Minnesota Vikings game earlier this season.
Grant is expected to return to action after this April's NFL Draft.
